Dear Mike

You left us suddenly and unexpectedly.
We spoke on the phone a week ago and everything was ok with you...
Your sudden death has caused me a deep sadness.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the 12 years of close co-operation and constructive work for karate. Thank you for the trust you always placed in me, for bringing me into the EKF-TC and for always supporting me.

Thank you for the hours we spent together, during meetings, analyses and active implementations. I will always remember you fondly. I will miss your "perfect" Queen’s English.

You have dedicated your life entirely to karate in these recent years, which deserves great respect. Your experience from your life as a security guard, gymnast, rugby player, boxer and as karateka, contributed a lot to the improvements in our sport.
We will miss your kindness, your empathy, your humour but, also your determination.

Thank you that I met you and that our paths crossed for over a decade.
